Rob Taylor, a military jet pilot explains how a gyro in a jet aircraft is LOCKED to the LEVER of the runway from where they take off. This is done by locking the gyro to the LOCAL runway and by LAW, can not be adjusted afterward in flight. That runway level is used for the entire diration of the pilot’s flight. Even 17 hour trips halfway around the world have the EXACT SAME LEVEL as the departure runway which is 100% impossible if we lived on a globe.
